I am Amanda McKay, owner and designer for Presents for Pirates.
- I am a self taught cardmaker and designer.
- I started with greeting cards and have since taught myself to make custom invitations, announcements, journals, as well.
- I have owned presents for pirates since 2007, but have been making cards and invitations since 2003.
- I make unique greeting cards, thank you cards, invitations, announcements, journals, marketing pieces, gift card holders, gift tags, all things paper.

I am in the process of making as many of my products with recycled paper as is possible. I feel like we can all do our part to help the environment, and this is how I am helping with my share!
I believe in the power of unexpected surprises. I believe in the power of mail. Not email or voicemail, but real, open-up-your-mailbox-to-an-awesome-surprise-kind-of-mail. I design and hand make pre-packaged cards for all occasions, but also love to work on custom orders! I love the challenge of hearing what someone wants, and turning that vision into a paper presentation. I pride myself on my service when consulting with my clients. If you don’t love it, I didn’t do my job right! And don’t forget, pirates deserve presents, too.
