Relationships are important to me and I’m lucky to be able to get to know my customers on a personal level through the fun of parties. I provide personalized service; making decorating suggestions and helping them transform areas and rooms in their homes.
Who I am
Our family of 4 consists of my husband of 8 years, a new daughter and our dog. I’ve been in business 10 years and love what I do. I was a hostess originally, earning my candles for free. I started this business to earn a little extra income alongside my full time job..and to keep getting my candles for free! I never intended this to be a career, but I quit my full time job 6 years ago. I’m so thankful that I can be a stay at home Mom and have a career I love. My goal is to bring fun and positivity into people lives.
About my business
In the early 1900s, schoolteacher Mabel Baker began crafting candles from the wild bayberries that grew in her native Cape Cod. At first she gave them as gifts to her friends and family, but it wasn’t long before her entrepreneurial spirit took over. With a lot of persistence, hard work and support from her husband, by 1909 Mabel turned her love of candles into a business.
Mabel remained passionately committed to growing her business throughout her life. When she died at the age of 94 in 1965, what had begun with a single bayberry had become a business worth $6 million. Today, she remains our role model for success.
